Hey there! Thank you for checking out Cora. By downloading or using Cora, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Your privacy matters to us. Cora collects only what it needs to run your workouts and keep your progress safe, and some of your most personal data, like progress photos, never leaves your device at all.
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. What We Collect
When you use Cora, we collect and store:
- Account info: your name and email, provided through Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Your quiz answers: goals, focus areas, activity level, and schedule preferences, used to set up your routine.
- Workout activity: your routine, completed workouts, streaks, favorites, custom workouts, and challenges you join, so your progress follows you across devices.
- Body measurements you enter: if you use weight tracking, the weight entries you log and any goal weight you set are saved to your account so they're there when you sign in on another device. You can delete any entry, or your goal, at any time.
- Your step goal: if you set one, the number is saved to your account (your actual step counts are not, see below).
- Usage analytics: which features are used and basic app events, so we can improve Cora. We use PostHog for this, and these events are associated with your account so we can understand how the app performs over time. We do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
2. What Stays On Your Device
- Progress photos are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them. If you delete the app, they are deleted with it, so back up any photos you want to keep.
- Step counts (optional): if you connect Apple Health, Cora reads your daily step count to show it in the app. This is read only, it stays on your device, and it is never uploaded, shared, or used for advertising. Cora never writes anything back to Apple Health. You can revoke access anytime in the Health app.
- Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Your camera is used only when you choose to take a progress photo, and those photos follow the device-only rule above.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to run Cora for you: setting up and adapting your workout routine, syncing your progress across your devices, providing support, and understanding how the app is used so we can make it better. We never sell your personal data, and we never use it for third-party advertising.
4. Where Your Data Lives
Your account data is stored securely with our hosting provider (Supabase) on servers located in Canada, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit and access controls. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, which receives purchase receipts and an anonymized user ID, never your payment details, which stay with Apple.
