Hey there! Thank you for checking out Sono. By downloading or using Sono, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Your privacy is very important to us. Sono is designed to work fully on-device so your data stays private.

1. Data Collection

2. On-Device Processing

All transcription and AI features run 100% locally on your device.

Your audio, video, transcriptions, and AI-generated content are never sent to us or to any third-party server. A network connection may be required to download transcription or AI models, but your content is never uploaded to servers we control.

The only exception is the optional iCloud Sync feature described below, which syncs some of your content through your own private iCloud account.

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

Sono includes an optional iCloud Sync feature that is turned off by default. You choose whether to turn it on in Settings.

When iCloud Sync is on, Sono uses your own private iCloud account to keep your recordings in sync across your Apple devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud, protected by your Apple Account. It is not sent to Sono or to any third party, and we have no ability to access it.
